Field trips are an essential part of exploring the real world. Indeed, experiencing something in person offers perspectives that cannot be gleaned from a book or lecture. RHEF is proud to support field trips, such as the annual 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C., where students explore and learn about our nation’s capital first hand. We have also supported environmental trips to the Hudson River Maritime Museum in Kingston, and excursions on the “sailing classroom” of the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater. RHEF believes that cost should never be a barrier to students participating in these vital learning experiences, and we aim to ensure that all who want to participate can.
